Christmas Assistance

Through the generosity of the local community, NCM provides age appropriate gifts for children under 18 years old to families who would otherwise not be able to celebrate the holiday season.

Please recognize that the gifts we have are donated and we cannot promise to provide a specific gift for a child. In some cases, especially for teenagers, we provide store gift cards in lieu of gifts.

We take applications for Christmas assistance starting in October through early December.

Applications are taken, first come, first served, during normal business hours.

To apply you must provide:

  • Driver's license or other picture identification
  • Social Security card (if available)
  • Verification of address showing that you reside in our service area (the city of Norcross and surrounding areas of Gwinnett County) - one of the following:
    • Current lease or utility bill in your name
    • Current school report card
    • Current mail received from DFACS
    • Current medical bill in your name
  • Identification for each child that is living with you - one of the following:
    • Social Security card
    • Birth Certificate
    • Medicaid card
    • Current school report card
  • Proof of need - one of the following:
    • If employed, proof of income for the last 30 days
    • Section 8 or HUD lease documents
    • Current Medicaid/Food Stamp Eligibility letter
    • Unemployment letter or separation notice
  • You must not be receiving holiday assistance from anyone else.

We cannot complete your application unless you bring in all of the required documentation!

Once you have completed the application process, you will be given a pickup slip indicating when you can pick up the gifts for your children.

The pickup dates are in mid-December, just prior to Christmas.

On your assigned pickup date and time, you must bring:

  • your pickup slip
  • the picture id you used during the application process

to NCM to get your package.

If you have received Christmas assistance from NCM four or more times, including this year, you will not be eligible for future Christmas assistance.
